MELBOURNE RENEGADES INNINGS:
The big bash final of Big League 2018 was played between the two top teams of BBL. The top two presented some cricket performances in the whole league.
It was Melbourne Cricket Stadium, Melbourne who hosted the final match between the two young and top guns of the league. The responsibilities of captaincy for Melbourne Renegades were on Aron Finch.
The captain had played some exceptional cricket in the league. Finch was an in-form batsman. He had played any number of outstanding innings throughout the whole tournament.
The special factor of the Melbourne Renegades was Aron Finch was making some really good decisions in his captaincy. He lead from the front. He inspired the young boys.
It was the restless efforts of the whole team which brought them into the big bash final 2018. Melbourne Stars had the services of Glenn Maxwell. Glenn Maxwell is famous for his hard-hitting shot ability.
He had some excellent support from the team management and the senior players of the team. According to the pitch report, the pitch has some moisture in it. The quick fifties help him out to score nice in the league.
It was better to bowl first in the situation if the captain wins the toss. The pitch was old and it had some patches on it which were expected to be open in the latter part of the match.
On the final day, Glenn Maxwell had won the toss, and he preferred to bowl first. It was good for Melbourne Stars to have won the toss and make the decision of his own desire.
Aron Finch take the challenge and was mentally prepared to bat first in the BBL final match against Melbourne Stars. The captain himself opens the innings with MS Harris.
In the very first over, they had played some traffic shots and were looking good in the beginning part of their innings. Harris had scored 2 boundaries in the same over. He had some confidence to play his natural game. He played some decent cricketing shot according to the conditions of the pitch.
It was PW Bird who bowl a short-pitched delivery full of pace. HS Harris played a pull shot against it and the ball took the top edge of the bat and the ball was in the air. It was Handscomb who took the brilliant catch and Melbourne Renegades lost their first wicket for 16 runs after 1.5 overs.
It was a big success for PW Bird who took the first wicket in his very first over. Melbourne Renegades were under pressure early in the innings in big bash final. The loss of their genuine opener and the final game of the tournament.
After the loss of Harris, the wicket-keeper batsman BS Harper joins his captain at the crease. Now, both of the players were looking at the ball closely. They have made their shot selection more refine in the progressive part of the match.
It was Bird from Melbourne Stars who bowl a medium pace delivery to WS Harper. Mr. WS Harper could not handle the variety of the ball and played an ordinary shot in the end.
BIG BASH FINAL:
Mr. Young Bird took himself the catch. HS Harper was out after scoring only 7 runs. He scored 1 four his innings. PJ Bird provided a double breakthrough to his team and he proved the decision of team management as right. Melbourne Renegades were under more pressure.
Melbourne Renegades had lost their two top wickets for just 25 runs of the score after facing 3.4 overs. After the 2nd loss, the experienced Cameron white joins his captain at the crease. Initially, both players played very carefully. They pay respect to the batsmen. They played every delivery on pure merit.
Both of them succeed to build the partnership of 22 runs among themselves. The position of Melbourne Renegades was just getting improved. The body language of both the players was telling the presence of pressure factors among them.
Aron Finch played better shot and tried to steal 2 runs. It was close to taking two runs on the ground. He ran with power to the bowling end. He could not make it in a big bash final. The stumps were already been broken and Melbourne Renegades had lost its captain for just 47 runs on the board.
It was Cameron White who could not handle the swinging delivery from Adam Zampa. The misses the bat and hits the pads. The umpire made his decision as out. Melbourne Renegades were 4 wickets down after a total of 49 runs on the board with 7.1 overs of play.
BBL FINAL 2018:
Melbourne Renegades were under pressure. They were losing the final game. They had lost all their core batsmen from the top order line. It was Mackenzie Harvey who was out on a total of 64 runs after 10.2 overs of play.
It was cooper and Harv en who took the responsibility and got a good partnership. A very positive 70 runs partnership between Cooper and Chrisitan changed the complexion one of the games. After facing 20 overs of cricket, Melbourne Renegades were managing to score 145 runs after the loss of 5 wickets.
Daniel Christian was the star batsman who scored 38 runs from 30 balls along with TLW Cooper. TLW Cooper had scored 43 runs from 35 balls. He scored 2 massive sixes and 2 fine boundaries for Melbourne Renegades.
In the end, it was a competitive total. Glenn Maxwell 11 has to display some awesome cricket to chase this amount of total.
